Meet Martin

Martin is a respected voice in the Ashe County community, with nearly four decades of experience in banking. A graduate of Appalachian State University, he finds inspiration in the wise words of Mark Twain: 'Do the right thing. It will gratify some people and astonish the rest.' This motivates him to make positive contributions to his community through his roles as a board member of Ashe County Job Development, a trustee of Ashe Memorial Hospital, and an Advisory Board Member of Ashe County Parks and Recreation. Outside of his professional and civic duties, Martin finds joy in supporting local music and working on his small farm – endeavors that keep him grounded in the land and connected to the people he is delighted to represent.
